#22: Commitment, anti-commitment, freedom, and being married for life
For most of my life I thought that maybe I just wasn’t meant to be with anyone long-term. I thought maybe I would be an eternal nomad, moving from place to place, having lots of lovers, or that I should have an open relationship. I valued freedom and I thought freedom meant being uncommitted to anything.
In this episode I take you on my journey from this place into meeting my now-husband. I share my thoughts on the sacredness of marriage and how committing to one person is actually the deepest journey there is. And in all of this, how settling in one place and committing to one person has been the most freeing of all.
